Nirmalya Kumar: India’s invisible innovation

I found this video really interesting as I think lots of Americans don’t really believe most of what Nirmalya is saying.  Many in the US are ethnocentric in believing that somehow the US breeds more creative individuals – this is a false assumption.  I recall reading the diary an 18th century British tourist sightseeing through the US opining about how Americans could copy anything in the world better and faster than anyone but did not have an ounce of creativity. I’ve heard the same thing said about advanced developing countries such as India or China – that is of course rubbish.   To quote Andy Grove, former CEO of Intel “Only the Paranoid Survive”.
